President Ramaphosa Honors ‘Outstanding Leader’ Pravin Gordhan in Tribute

Johannesburg – Expressed with great disappointment at the passing of former Minister Pravin Gordhan is President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Early on Friday morning, he passed away in the hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Gordhan was previously a well-known chief and a leader in the fight against corruption, according to Ramaphosa.

He claims that at one point, those looking to plunder resources threatened and mocked him for taking an anti-corruption position. From 2009 to May of this year, Gordhan held three ministries as a Cabinet Minister. He was the Minister of Public Enterprises in Ramaphosa’s Executive for the preceding six years.

He had served as Minister of Finance before to it, and then as Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. Gordhan is also recognized with revitalizing and establishing the Revenue Services as a respectable organization. From the days of his anti-apartheid work to the latter days of his political retirement, Gordhan made “personal sacrifices” that the nation has been reminded to remember by Ramaphosa. This includes battling against corruption under intense pressure during the years of state takeover and losing my job as a pharmacist at King Edward the Eighth Hospital in Durban.
